Rear engined vehicles, 14/09/20 onwards.
Due to capacity and parts supply issues we are not accepting bookings from new customers with rear engined Volkswagens built prior to the year 1991 from the 14/09/20. Front engined vehicles and vehicles manufactured after that date (for example Brazilian Kombi vans and Mexican Beetles) are not affected.
This does not apply to existing customers/vehicles that we already maintain. Autohaus Dolby apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Rear engined vehicles, air or water cooled.
A comprehensive service usually including new spark plugs, air filter, oil filter, Quantum oil from Volkswagen UK or top quality UK Manufactured Morris oil as appropriate, gearbox oil change, cleaned oil strainer if applicable, grease points lubricated, fault code scan if necessary (Mexican/Brazilian supplied vehicles), top up all fluids not being replaced, etc., road test. We usually require your vehicle for a full day to carry out this service.
Rear engined vehicles, air cooled. Interval service.
A standard service, usually carried out every 12 months. This includes, as appropriate, multipoint inspection, engine oil change, oil filter clean or replace, sump plug washer(s) and gaskets replaced, check and adjust valve clearances, clean or replace air filter, top up screen wash, fuel filter change, spark plugs changed (petrol), fault code scan if necessary (Mexican/Brazilian supplied vehicles), road test.
Rear engined vehicles, water cooled. Interval service.
A standard service, usually carried out every 12 months. This includes, as appropriate, multipoint inspection, engine oil change, oil filter replacement, sump plug washer or sump plug replacement, replace air filter, top up screen wash, if necessary check and top up antifreeze, fuel filter change, spark plugs changed (petrol), fault code scan (Mexican/Brazilian supplied vehicles), road test.
Brake fluid change
Over time moisture gets into your brake fluid making it less effective. However, we’ll be more than happy to change it for you. The brake fluid should be changed when your Volkswagen is three years old, and then every two years after that. We only use Volkswagen Genuine Parts™ brake fluid.
We can supply and fit tyres for any classic Volkswagen, and we are equipped with the correct adaptors to balance “wide 5” 5×205 PCD wheels as fitted to pre-1967 cars and vans.
Our prices are competitive and we can supply most sizes and brands from stock. Some tyres for classic Volkswagens may have to ordered in advance.
